V and M Star – Water Treatment Plant

V and M Star heeding the call of the natural gas boom, invested millions of dollars into expanding their facility. Their goal was to increase their pipe manufacturing capacity. Innovative Building Solutions in partnership with Kvaerner NAC provided the design and installation of a Star pre-engineered metal building to house their new water treatment plant. This project required a special coating on the structure to assure that the building would last under the extreme corrosive environment. IBS had the entire structure sand blasted and coated with a epoxy paint. Additionally, the project required integration of various types of louvers, wall ventilators, hooded fans and roof top exhaust fans to meet all the EPA requirements. Star’s engineering department worked closely with the piping designers to assure there were no structural encumbrances to the numerous penetrations into the building. The final product included supports for CMU buildings, supports for mezzanines, platforms and several integrated cranes.
